UK History Finders (UKHF) was founded in 2017 by passionate metal detectorist Tom Pisarek, driven by a love of
history, discovery, and the great outdoors. What began as small, friendly dig events for fellow enthusiasts quickly
grew into something much bigger.
Thanks to Tom’s strong connections within the farming community, UKHF gained access to vast stretches of land across
the UK—unlocking thousands of acres of historically rich ground for our members to explore. These opportunities have
helped shape UKHF into one of the most active and trusted metal detecting communities in the country.
Metal detecting and camping are more than hobbies to us—they’re a way of life. It’s a passion shared as a family,
with Tom’s two young sons, aged 7 and 3, already discovering the excitement of the hunt and the joy of outdoor
adventure.
From humble beginnings, UKHF has grown into a thriving community. Today, we organise twice-weekly digs every
Wednesday and Sunday, offer access to over 50,000 acres of land, and proudly support a membership of more than
10,000 active detectorists.
At UKHF, we’re not just finding history—we’re building a community, creating memories, and keeping the spirit of
discovery alive.
As a group organiser I will coordinate the entire day's event.
We ensure all members are fully insured through NCMD or FID, providing up to £10,000,000 public liability cover. They follow strict guidelines and are government-approved organizations.
